Yeah interesting that cancel culture instantly scrubbed Football Club when Ivy was set to be way bigger than any Smith Street single (wouldn't have shocked me if it won the Hottest 100). Yet Smith Street can just keep on keeping on. I know the incidents are not equal but both are definitely bad. And I know Smith Street has a deeper catalogue and therefore more fans but...

Let's face it, it's because the Football Club's singer is trans. (Now ex) supporters of that band, including or even led by the LBGTQAI+ community, did the right thing and jumped ship immediately.

SWM fans of Smith Street have been happy to continue supporting that band it seems.
