first record is still my favorite. theres stuff I dislike about both the records this year but if you trimmed the fat and combined the good stuff from both, it'd be one of my favorite records thom/jonny have worked on in any band
yeah this rules. those anxious jittery vibes on The Slip/No Words are what I'm here for Eyes/Mouth really lived up to that live version they initially played at their early concerts too. absolute heater
I’d be interested in making a combined tracklist from both records this year. Every composition is good but not everything is grab you by the face great.
Haven't seen a lot of discussion or buzz around this (Pitchfork just released their review), but this is really good and I think this band keeps getting more interesting. "Tiptoes" is beautiful
Just like Wall of Eyes, this only gets better and better the more you listen to it and uncover it’s layers.
wtf didnt even realize they had a 3rd album! its truly delightful to have this much great material and this quickly. they must be in a super healthy place creatively. and having this, i dont even miss Radiohead at all to be honest with you. im sure theyll get around to it, but if they didnt in favor this, yeah im completely fine.
Don’t Get Me Started (James Holden Remix) - 7:54 Instant Psalm (Robert Stillman Remix) - 9:15 should be cool (love Holden!) but "zero sum" still cries out for a remix
really wild that it’s been almost ten years since moon shaped pool. that means it’s almost been ten years since i graduated undergrad
