They announced on IG a few weeks ago that it would be Robert Stillman, who I believe opened some of their UK dates. Great jazz musician, has a pretty unique sound:
I wasn’t planning on seeing them because tickets were above my price range, but someone just offered me two free tickets for tonight so now I am tempted to go lol
Fantastic show and highly recommend going. New tracks are incredible and album sounds even better live
I JUST MET THOM YORKE AHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK I waited outside the venue and the band came out afterwards to meet people waiting and sign autographs. He was super kind to me and I told him how good this album is and he was stoked that I liked it. I also met Jonny and the Sons of Kemet guy too. Very nice folks.
I also told him how much I freaking love Radiohead, because if you meet Thom Yorke, which happens maybe once in someone’s life, even while he’s on tour with a completely different band, you gotta just let it all out haha.
If anyone is going to an upcoming tour date, this is how I met him: After the show ended around 11PM I went to where the tour buses were located (if this is in a private or locked area at your venue, I would say probably do not try) and a bunch of people had the same idea as me so I figured hey they must know something, the band will definitely come out. 30 minutes go by with no word or sight of the band but then security came down the line and said the band is going to come out and gave the details (basically no photos) and then security came by again like 10 minutes before they came out and reiterated what they had said previously. Then they came out an hour after the show had ended and you went up to the band like waiting in line to meet bands standing behind merch booths after a show and bam. I was told by someone near me in line that Thom has been really generous with his time at these shows and signing stuff and they will come out at most shows (if there’s public access to where the tour buses are only I presume).
