I think I really love this. Like in the kind of way I usually love Radiohead albums. Not surprised, really, but I am happy.
Yeah, this is so great. Think this is quite easily my favorite non-Radiohead Thom Yorke release already. And that’s not in any way a slight against his solo stuff or Atoms For Peace which are both great… this is just so fantastic that it exceeds those already for me. Really feels like it’s on the level of Radiohead imo
Man. I haven’t bothered with leaks in a long time but this is the most motivated I’ve been in a while.
Open the Floodgates is astonishing. this may lack the cohesiveness of Radiohead’s albums but it’s a fantastic collection of work with MANY highs of the caliber you’d expect from thom/RH. To me it feels like revisiting all of Radiohead’s past work and putting it through a king of limbs filter
I’ve only heard 6 songs on this but I’m still kind of wondering why they didn’t bring these songs to the rest of the band and put it out as Radiohead. Honestly feels like the follow up to A Moon Shaped Pool.
Probably a lot of baggage that comes with starting up the Radiohead machine again, gotta be prepared for that
