interesting to see that this is where skirting on the surface ended up excellent set of tracks, hope we get an album soon. based on basically every thom yorke rollout in recent memory, i assume we will.
Idk I’d love an album soon but I heard most of anima live 2 years before it came out so we’ll see lol
I find Thom side projects to be somewhat hit or miss so this was a really pleasant surprise. More of the songs are great than not, and Jonny is a treasure.
they were just rehearsing live on instagram for a bit edit - they're live again right now but here's a recording of the first song they did https://www.reddit.com/r/radiohead/comments/r77gfw/the_smile_live_performance_on_instagram/
first song, two takes. caption said "look at all the pretty lights" but probably called "blue eyed fox" Free in the Knowledge (turns out we're in this together) you will never work in television again.. (promising the moon…) this is what was written on the whiteboard: blue eyed fox porous the same free in the knowledge speech bubbles
im obsessed with the sons of kemet album and now I'm even more excited for this knowing tom skinner is drumming
