Debut songs from Sara Bug, good singer-songwriter/folky stuff

 

New Joe Pug album in March.

 

We need to talk about Jensen McRae. I honestly can’t believe she hasn’t blown the fuck up yet. Definitely my most anticipated debut album. Discovered her through a Moses Sumney tweet maybe two years ago now?

If you haven’t listened yet, please do, and tell me I’m not crazy. Think she’s gonna do big things.


Wolves is probably her highlight thus far. Devastating song.

Her Phoebe Bridgers viral song was amazing and her other songs are great too and she seems like a fun person (I watched her livestream on Instagram recently). I wonder when the album is being announced.

Missed this one last year. It hooked me from the first song and the second one gutted me. It gets even better from there. @Craig Manning

 

Yeah that album kills me. I don't remember where I ended up ranking it on my end of year list but it was high. Little White Lie, joy of Jesus, daddy's disappointment...such great songs but some of them are just such heavy topics

 

I definitely could've used a song or two that was breezier. What else was on your list from last year?

Yeah definitely not the right timing haha. It’s a pretty sad record.

 

Yeah, it's definitely a lot. Really moving stuff, though. I especially loved the first song.
