Fun fact, I watched an episode of the newer seasons with my ex. It posted the subtitles of a French man asking where the whiskey was that was promised to him and I translated it out loud. Ex was impressed, got laid. I was proud of myself.
Was having a debate with friends after I admitted as a kid I always thought Dr Nick was an Asian man. Until later in life I realised Rivieria is not an Asian name. Was Spanish/South American. Now we've been debating what his ethnicity was One still thinks Filipino Another said Puerto/Cuban due to the Ricky Ricardo accent. I'm changing to Mexican. Another googled Argentinian
I think the answer is Hungarian. The original idea for dr. Nick was based on Gabor csupo (remember clasky-csupo did the animation for the first few seasons).
