I say it every year, episode hasn't aged well but for 97 this was pushing the envelope. Also the line "dad, why did you bring me to a gay steel mill?" lives forever in my brain
I am doing elements of plot/elements of story with my students to kill time before spring break. I usually use The Office but I have seasons 8 and 9 on my computer so I am going with that. I figure A Milhouse Divided, Mountain of Madness, The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show, Homer's Enemy, The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson, and Bart Carny.
Not to sound morbid but will the Simpsons come to an end before or after one of the voice actors dies
Started listening to the audiobook of Stupid TV, Be More Funny: How the Golden Era of The Simpsons Changed Television-and America-Forever Catnip for me
The internet got me with "Marge dying" episode. So I got tricked in watching the season finale. I'm not mad about it....id love to watch more often But. Unlike the premier "barts birthday" (which i absolutely loved).... this episode showcased why I DONT watch anymore. Its just the writing. I was anticipating an ultimate emotional tug episode but in the end, eh. Simpsons have made me "feel" many times....this was okay.
"Bart Gets an Elephant" is criminally underrated. Heavy on the one liners and gags but one of the funniest there is imo
Seasons four and five are the show's peak imo, but they are also two of the first DVD boxsets I ever bought and I saved up for them as a kid, so I may be biased
3-6 are incredible, 2,7,8 are very very good, 1 and 9 are pretty good, 10 onward is mostly bad and I love them
I fuck with 10 and 11 even if they're a step down. Those are the ones I most commonly caught re-runs of growing up
