Loved that book, plus the next few volumes. I’m a big trivia nerd for stuff I love, so it was a great companion until the Simpsons DVDs with audio commentary
I had all of those too, I used to READ about episodes I had never SEEN because they hadn’t been released on DVD yet
Never got around to buying any of those but in the local Hastings there was a lounge area in the magazines section and I used to spend afternoons reading those guide books from front to back.
I was more into the Treehouse of Horror comic collections and some of the novelty books (Ralph's Guide to Life, for example)
Oh yeah, I had a ton of those “Guide to Life” books as well. I think I still do in a tote at my parents’ house.
Almost put E-I-E-I-D’oh in there too. Though I know they aren’t technically better than most episodes before them, I just love how their batshit absurdity shaped my own sense of humor!
