Around 2007 she made a one-time $10 million donation and she outranks Tom Cruise in the church since she donated more money.
This could be enjoyable. Morrissey blasts 'The Simpsons' for 'harshly hateful' and 'hypocritical' parody
I've been alternating between watching a massive amount of movies and binging this show. I think this is finally when I watch it ALL. Kippers for breakfast, Aunt Helga? Is it St. Swithun's day already? Tis!
Today my guest will be afl-cio chairman george meany, who will be discussing collective bargaining agreements Let me be blunt: is there a labor crisis in america today
They make a joke about Travolta working at the bar in Parents Island in this episode I'm watching, which is funny because Pulp Fiction came out literally two weeks after this episode aired.
Ya...looks like... Sounds like you're at golden years episodes. Cherish them. I'm on season 20 and man the mid teens are a schlog.
Been on a slow watch/rewatch of seasons 1-9 of which I'd seen a great deal but also had a lot of missing episodes. On season 5 now and while it's obviously great I've gotta say it's a slight step back from the perfect 3 & 4. It's the first real big shift in Homer (second if you count him being a reasonably competent human being at the beginning) and it's definitely for the worse. The maniacal giggling and general mean spiritedness annoy me as much as they make for laughs.
I also feel like the animation is a little different that season. Homer's eyes are bigger or something.
That’s wild! Gun to my head, 5 is probably my favorite overall. 3-4 still feel a little too underdeveloped
Alright, here's my scientific ranking: Season 4 > Season 6 by fractions of a decimal Then 7, 5, and 3. 8 and 9 would be next. My top tier of episodes, ranked in order: 1. Last Exit to Springfield 2. Homer Goes to College 3. Fear of Flying 4. Homer at the Bat 5. You Only Move Twice 6. Cape Feare 7. Lisa the Greek 8. Summer of 4 Ft. 2 9. A Milhouse Divided 10. El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer (The Mysterious Voyage of Homer) 11. Treehouse of Horror V 12. Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie 13. Mother Simpson 14. The City of New York Vs. Homer Simpson 15. Homer the Heretic 16. Lemon of Troy 17. Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment 18. 22 Short Films About Springfield 19. Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington 20. I Love Lisa
Very solid list! I think our season rankings are the same too. Depending on the day, 6 can nudge above 4 just because I like the wackier jokes.
Jerk-ass Homer really becomes a thing towards the end of season 9 and into season 10. After that, there are good episodes, but a lot of average too. I'm on season 14 at the moment and it's a slog. Have no real desire to go back to it.
I remember it picking back up in the midteens but I was wrong. Finally around 19 and 20 it's getting good again. That said every few episodes you'll get a total dumpster fire of an episode.
