That is definitely something the show washes over. Even in the late Eighties and early Nineties the era of single-income households was largely gone.
the line "what is this some kind of tube" kills me. the most random and silly line that is stuck in my head to this day.
Honestly like the first 10 treehouse of horrors are gold. The evil Krusty doll episode in particular is one I constantly think about.
Yeah, the whole thing was pretty great. Also, I haven’t watched the new ones in such a long time, I hadn’t realised Julie Kavner’s Marge voice had changed so much. She’s really starting to sound her age :(

I've seen people say you really start to notice it around the mid 20's. I've been forcing myself through the teen seasons too at the moment. There's some good moments, but I can't binge them like I do with 3-9. Jerk-ass Homer is the probably the biggest reason haha
Ya it's definitely tough for sure. Trying to compete with family guy and south park really led the characters in weird directions
It's like every episode...I just watched pranksta rap...starts with bart defying homer to go to a concert, ends with some random thing about wiggum not getting respect since he's a bad cop (same idea from the beer barron ep). Too random
