1 is good 2 is great 3-8 are some of the best television of all time 9-10 are great 11-12 are good The movie is fantastic The rest is incredibly hit or miss but never really hits many notable highs
Pretty much this. I'm giving 9 and 10 more of a watch recently. So many golden episodes, like "the joy of sect"
My extremely personal preference is to just watch seasons 2-20. After that it gets pretty dicey. I have kind of an affection for the mid-teen seasons, particularly 15 and 16. My favorite seasons are 5-8 though. Just straight fire there.
I hope to give the teens and twenties more of an unbiased watch at some point but I don't know if I'll ever get there. I get up to that stupid alec baldwin/kim basinger episode and I just stop moving forward and repeat.
I've been really trying to nail down my personal top 10 list (not necessarily the 10 best episodes): 1. Homer's Enemy 2. You only move twice 3. Cape Feare 4. Bart vs. Australia 5. Marge vs. the monorail 6. Homer's Phobia 7. Bart of Darkness 8. Lemon of Troy 9. Marge be not proud 10. Lisa the simpson honestly, after 1 and 2, the rest can go in any order.
Haha that one is pretty bad. Try watching HOMR and Trilogy of Error from season 12, Smart and Smarter from season 15, and Don't Fear the Roofer from season 16.
Every once in a while i catch up on newer episodes. hit or miss sure, but damn how this show can still be hitting huge laughs for me after all these years is just beyond amazing
Lol your avatar "eww this place has got old man stink!" One of the newer episodes I love is coming to homerica. http://41.media.tumblr.com/7bbb83350d4d7be2ba7d4768ee0bcbc3/tumblr_mutvr7SjdL1qzjmo0o1_540.jpg Edit: dear god the episode is nearly seven years old!
Subbing. I've been picking random episodes to watch almost every night for months and months, so many great jokes I forgot. Season 1 is pretty rough but also a lot of quality little details. Also big on Everythings Coming Up Podcast, lot of great guests including people from the show.
Borrowing seasons 4-8 from the cousin actually haha. It's a shame she was out of town this week while I was sick. I would've watched them all. Now I have to work and do school and adult shit.
Off the top of my head, my top 10 is probably (not necessarily in order): You Only Move Twice Homer's Enemy Lisa's Rival A Fish Called Selma Homie the Clown Homer and Apu Homer's Phobia The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in "The Curse of the Flying Hellfish" Lisa on Ice
Summer of 4ft2 Homer Goes to College You Only Move Twice Fear of Flying El Viaje Homer at the Bat Lisa the Vegetarian Homer Vs. The Eighteenth Amendment Lisa the Greek Last Exit to Springfield I wrote out like twenty before narrowing it down, this show is just beyond good. The City of New York Vs Homer Simpson gets most honorable mention.
Homers irrational hatred of the Dean is one of the greatest things ever. Also the picture of him eating the cake lol.
Ah that sucks. Well, if you can manage an episode a day you will see some of the best cartoon television ever made in the course of a couple of months. It's worth it!
100% true, especially looking through the lists here there's so many episodes that I could/should add. I boiled it down to "what ten episodes could I watch on repeat until the end of time".
Any of you out there have or had fun Simpsons memorabilia? My brother had a Bart Simpsons "don't have a cow man" mug and I'll occasionally fire up virtual Bart on the SNES.
I used to play Virtual Springfield as a kid. It was terribly animated (among other issues), but I loved it so
