I've been re-watching a lot of early episodes on demand lately despite already owning the DVDs. I realized after Season 13 back in 2002 is when I pretty much gave up on new episodes (which is still several years after most Classic Simpsons fans abandoned the show). I'm tempted to start with Season 14 and watch every episode in order to find some redeeming factor in them.
Wish this was on Netflix. Have an urge to watch this from start to finish as I've been needing a new half hour show to watch. May have to turn to alternative means.
Not sure about these episodes specifically, but I want to say his voice probably has gotten deeper with time.
Not really liking how this season especially they're trying to really incorporate modern pop culture elements/story-lines, a la South Park. Or has the Simpsons done this all along and I just haven't been smart enough to notice it growing up with the show?
Treehouse of Horror has always been pop culture parodies and they've always had special guest stars, which isn't always a "gimmick" obviously, there was also episode where Homer wants to buy a gun and the one about his homophobia
