Listening to this now. I don't want to be that guy, so I guess just let me know what/how much you want to know? edit: im drunk. "Don't Feel Like Dancing" wowowowow "Medium in the Middle" wowowowow [x2]
I can't handle knowing anything BUT are there any songs similar to Summer Brings You Closer To Satan?
I like this band more and more album by album and based solely off the first song, this is off to a good start. A lot of alliterative lyrics which are small and subtle but still super effective. “Finding fruit to eat in February” “it’s the sugar surfacing on the sour” couple others but I forget
This album is so fucking pleasant - sounds exactly how the album art looks - gonna be a great warm weather listen Early standouts are Win Affection, Weed Tent, Summer and the Magic Trick, Medium in the Middle, and the title track
This record is so good that it finally makes me want to write a longform review again (first time since November), but I don't want to wait a month to publish it Want some more hype? Pieces of this remind me of Goodness (though never quite so heavy) and Weatherbox
Lol don't let that set the bar too high because it's not gonna change the scene like that. It's just a bright, catchy, emotionally resonant, good-ass record with similar vibes
Runners is still my favorite. This is definitely different, but go in with an open mind and I can't imagine you disliking it. It's one of my top five of the year so far
@nfdv2 also I don't know if you're the type to avoid pre-relase tracks, but both are pretty decent indicators of the album and "Don't Feel Like Dancing" is one of my favorites
I'm honestly not a huge fan of them :/ but that's also what happened with the Runners singles and then I was blown away by the record so maybe that'll happen again I think this is one of the most solidly album bands for me ('xcept for 1940's fighter jet) Btw this was produced by John Agnello, woooo
