also worth shouting out the bass work on HH specifically bc it’s some of my favorite bass work maybe ever, at least in the general genre space the album occupies. it strikes the perfect balance for me, it’s often busy but not in a distracting way and it’s interesting without being super showy either. it anchors the guitar interplay so beautifully and, on something like Twin’s Twist the way it weaves around the guitars is beautiful and the song would really be pretty different with a different bass line running through it.
