New Barlow album, "In a Stranger's Car," out July 25th. 20 tracks, too. I covered this band quite a bit on AP and I can't wait to hear this one/talk to Ethan about it. Bandcamp: Barlow And here's their last LP on Youtube: edit: Started a thread here: Barlow - In a Stranger's Car (July 25, 2017)
I've never really dug deep into dream pop/shoegaze and I'm too lazy to read through this whole thread. Anyone got any genre staples and some newer really good albums that i can check out?
The first couple posts will have you covered for classics, but I also suggest checking out The Mites, The Daysleepers, and Wildhoney
Slowdive's new record is fantastic, I can't recommend it enough. Check out Souvlaki too, probably one of my all time favorite albums in the genre.
Was just coming in here to post about this record, haha. Also the new See Through Dresses LP is tight.
Beach Fossils - Somersault is one of my favorites of the year. A little closer to AM/indie-pop this time around, but the vibe is still there, plus one of the tracks features Rachel from Slowdive. Also, Slowdive.
Whaaaat?! I didn't know Slowdive had a new album out! They're one of my favorites in this genre, but I also don't really follow bands in this genre all that closely. Thanks for the heads up.
