I didn't think trauma ray could top their last EP but these two new tracks are insanely good.

I'm always confusing Downward and Heavenward because of the Hum album. Which band has the guy I should avoid

 

Heavenward is Kam from Chain Gang of 1974 and formerly of Teenage Wrist. Teenage Wrist is the band to avoid, but I think Kam left before they became problematic, though I do believe he still does associate and work with them some.

 

Not to stir anything up but what's the deal with Teenage Wrist? I haven't heard anything about them

 

I'm actually going to delete my post in case I'm incorrect or misremembering. My issue with the band comes from a post from another mod about the band in the Accountability in Music thread. Whether or not them firing their guitarist after abuse allegations is related, I genuinely don't know. But the whole situation has made me hesitant.

Yesterday I spent some time browsing RYM lists best of 2023 and I found those 2 gems (didn't see a post about those bands here) :

Brokenteeth, from South Korea, a mix of shoegaze, slowcore and post rock

Rippedd, new band from Kyiv, ffo of shoegaze (duh) and dream pop
