Was surprised to see these guys had a new LP out so soon after their debut last year: Stray Fossa - Closer Than We'll Ever Know (Dream Pop / Indie Rock)
Are you trying to avoid a lo-fi sounding effect on the vocals that make them harder to understand? This might not be what you're looking for but I think their vocals are mixed fairly clear and front and center compared to most other shoegaze bands imo: Some other varying examples off the top of my head, not sure if you've heard any of these, but I think their vocals are all mixed pretty well. I'm sure others could add some examples as well: DIIV - Deciever Nothing - The Great Dismal Ovlov - Buds
Post hardcore with some shoegaze Out July 22nd on Jump Start Records. Features members of hardcore bands No Roses, Kill Verona and Shark Attack.
Stray Fossa record has a lot of really good stuff but isn’t really hitting like the last one for me. Took a much... idk, dancier? direction than I expected
This may not be our most shoegaze song or anything but I play in a new shoegaze/post rock/whatever band called Glossing and we just released a new song on our Bandcamp page. 100% of proceeds from Bandcamp downloads will go to the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project. It’ll be available on streaming services at some point. All That Life Is, by Glossing
Not new — just an appreciation post for this record that doesn’t have a thread. Putting it on for the first time in a couple years and it's just as dreamy as I remember
