Obligatory shameless self-plug: My band is releasing our second LP this May and the first single is out today. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Shameless self-plug here, also. The Finnish dream pop/shoegaze band Radio Supernova form their music out of fuzzed-out guitars, pulsating rhythms, and ethereal vocals. Radio Supernova was born out of love towards greater-than-life walls of sound, jangly melodies, and melancholy in general. Radio Supernova hail from Tampere, the Manchester of Finland. This is where Radio Supernova was born in the autumn of 2017. Radio Supernova initially released their first two singles in the spring of 2018. Their first full-length album Tähtiin was released in the March of 2019. Tähtiin (lit. "To Stars") contains its own universe, the immersive atmosphere of which leads the listener high above the Earth. Tähtiin is essentially music from beyond, and of love. Radio Helsinki recently chose Tähtiin as its Album of the Week. Radio Supernova on Spotify: Bandcamp: Tähtiin, by Radio Supernova Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mansegaze/
I stumbled across this band last night while looking for some 2019 shoegaze releases. Probably a bit straightforward but I really liked it!
Bruh, this is excellent. I just pre-added the album on Apple Music, can’t wait to hear the whole thing.
Yo thank you so much!! We actually just put out a b-side on a benefit comp today. Didn't want to spam the folks in here, but there's a link in the album thread! Flower Crown - Sundries (May 24th, 2019) • forum.chorus.fm
Slowdive's Rachel Goswell forms The Soft Cavalry, shares single from debut LP I can't listen til I'm out of work but this seems v cool and exciting
Hazel English is so good, hopefully we get something soon. been on a Vansire kick recently, they’re album from last year was a favorite and they just released a new single.
Hatchie’s new album, that dropped last month, is really good if you wanna some new female fronted dream pop.
they have some really cool features on their last album, especially with Chester Watson. it was an easy favorite from last year.
So the Hard Times has a new thing with more in line with say Noisey for comparison. They put out an article today about hardcore dudes making shoegaze and its pretty good.
