    Honestly TV is basically dead (or is dying) and It's being replaced by both the internet (youtube, and other sites) along with services like Netflix. So this doesn't really surprise me especially when you read/hear about people not even getting cable/satellite for their homes, and just getting internet (and maybe home phone number/service (if that)).
