Are we seriously not going to have a thread to talk about this incredibly charming movie? What are we, winter sheep?
But seriously, just saw this and it was better than I would have ever expected. Sebastian, noooooooo!
Gonna talk a little more about this! It was a nice yarn with a good message that went places I wasn't expecting when I entered the theater. During the film I kept trying to figure out whodunnit and at different points in the film I suspected the journalist because I thought he was just that desparate for a story, and then I suspected the lawyer and the brother of being the pair of murderers. I did not at any point think that the journalist and the brother were one and the same. That surprised me.
It’s so interesting too because reading the plot synopsis of the book it’s definitely not but the film works so well
there are holes in pretty much everything having to do with the plot to the point where it seems like they just didn't bother even thinking about it but it was so cute that i didn't care that much
Per your letterboxd review she would have gotten a loan based on owning her dad’s land including what he was leasing to the bad shepherd and the updated will was forged he left his money to that charity not to his daughter. Pay attention more.
The bad shepherd and the butcher got the loan for the extra sheep on the basis of them owning a business that would slaughter them leading to proceeds/profit from their meat supply. The tone of her asking emma thomas if she would be able to get the loan is just "well, i want more sheep!" That's ridiculous lol. And if he did leave the funds to the charity as it says, she would essentially be penniless and just have the land? Again, next to no reason for her to just be given a loan to have more sheep for no purpose lol. I liked the movie a lot but i probably would have had a better time if i wasn't paying attention lol
Worried that a film about talking sheep that solve mysteries is unrealistic in depicting bank loans. It's a happy ending.
