If you didn't like Kills or Ends, don't fret because you've got another shot with DGG ripping through The Exorcist in his patented formula of taking a beloved horror classic and direct sequeling it with one of the old leads coming back. I'm sure those movies will get wonky too though.
I refuse to even watch Believer. Is it not wonky already with that one? Everyone I know fucking hated it lol
I respect all opinions and at the same time shoot serious side eye at anyone telling me Kills is good and, oh say Flanagan movies aren't. definitely just silently judging that one on another note I have just realised that this is the Scream thread not the horror thread lol
Flanagan movies may very well be better than Kills on a technical level, but they're not really comparable imo. Emotional supernatural stuff vs a self-professed super-slasher. The former is just not what I'm typically looking for in horror. It bores me. So I'll take the latter, even if the dialogue suffers.
All 3 were largely bad, but Ends had a good idea they just completely fucked. DGG shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the director's chair lmao
I think Halloween '18 is the second best to the original. If only I had known that would be the peak of the roller coaster before the drop off and everything else would go downhill real fast. Exactly like Scream right now. I think Scream VI is the second best to the original, and with Melissa and Jenna gone, I'm expecting similar results to kills/ends "if" they even make Scream 7.
2018 would have been much better if didn’t have a sequel. It should have ended with the house burning and the three getting away. Don’t show the emergency vehicles arriving. Just end it. Leave it up to the mind if Michael got away. We would have avoided both Kills and Ends and I think all of us would be happier.
Yeah the only issue I have with ‘18 is the psychiatrist stuff. Weird as shit choice to reveal him as a villain and then immediately kill him.
