There's a ton of better names than Scream at this point. You could go with Shriek or the opposite Hush.
Yeah I liked the last two, but Scream is not currently the best kind of Scream-like slasher, it's like a whole subgenre at this point. Thanksgiving was a pretty fun knock off but I definitely wouldn't recommend it knowing this shithead studio made it. There are plenty of movies like this, they can just stop at this point and the world will move on.
I know they probably have to watch what they say and all that bullshit, but is anybody else bummed that there hasn’t been a single person to speak up for Melissa? Jenna supposedly has had no connection to Scream 7 and isn’t in risk of pissing them off and already posted pro-Palestine stuff before this year even…nothing. Radio Silence may be the producers of Scream 7, but they also have Melissa as the star of their Universal monster movie…nothing. Jasmin, who is usually pretty outspoken and has posted pro-Palestine stuff as well…nothing. Mason who I’m pretty sure has posted every day since I started following him a couple months hasn’t been around in a couple days…nothing. (To be fair to him though, after the shit with his dad today too, it’s understandable if he doesn’t draw attention to himself) Again, I get it’s all business and PR. Doesn’t make it not a bummer for Melissa
I’m sure they have. It’d just be nice for someone to publicly stand by her considering Spyglass is completely dragging her through the mud. Fans might be with Melissa but the whole narrative has been framed against her.
My Scream concept was about 1000 Ghostfaces in a cult, where Melissa has the power (that doesn’t make sense from her dad killing a few people) to beat them all. Trace back their location to find a brainwashing plant to train killers to distract from government war crimes and thin out the youth population. It writes itself.
I vote for changing the name to, “Hoot ‘n Holler,” and it’s about the core 4 teaming up with Ghostface to go after the Jan 6 insurrectionists.
Not just for Melissa, but I am disappointed in anyone not speaking up for Palestine. Which is pretty much everyone I realize but Melissa was right imo when she said she felt she had a responsibility with a platform during a time when there is active genocide going on.
And again it’s so frustrating that she felt she had to make a statement saying she denounces antisemitism after she called Israel out for genocide. This is exactly what ADL and Israel supporters want, you speak in plain terms on what Israel is going and you have to answer for antisemitism. I really worry by the end of this part of the conflict the word is going to be tied to just being anti-Israel.
Yeah that’s very true. This doesn’t really bode well for anyone to start speaking up now though if these garbage studios are going to try blacklisting actors because of it
Got this for my birthday last week and just got it framed. Sort of bad timing but at least the original isn’t tainted I guess lol.
