unfortunately it is much more believable that someone would back out bc scheduling issues than solidarity over speaking out against genocide

 

Best outcome I can imagine, if there's to be anymore movies, would be for another studio to buy it from Spyglass, and get Neve, Melissa and Jenna back. I doubt that'll be the case, and if so, I have no issue saying goodbye to my favorite franchise. There are 6 movies that I'm extremely happy to watch and ignore anything that comes out in the future--if it stays w/Spyglass.

 

6 movies in a horror franchise with the worst one still being mostly ok is a pretty good run anyway

 

I can't imagine a movie without Sam and Tara who's Ghostface gonna have beef with Mindy

As much as deadline wants us to believe it, I don't find it to be mere coincidence that Jenna left and it just so happened to be announced the day after Melissa was fired after other sources said hours beforehand that Jenna asked to leave the contract.

Is it true that Jenna left over scheduling? No doubt, but sources for months were saying Jenna was really wanting to squeeze Scream 7 into her schedule, but now they are saying it's been dead for months? Hmmmm

I wouldn't be surprised if Jenna was trying to make the schedules work, but after yesterday she said screw it and told spyglass she no longer wanted to find a way for the schedules to work and left.

 

A seventh film with the three of them, under a new studio, could be excellent.

 

New studio takeover would be amazing. Chad needs to go.
