I’d rather watch 4, 5, and 6 than 2 and 3 tbh

 

Remove the singing from 2 and it's fantastic.

 

And get rid of these sweet moves!?

 

2 is okay but my least favorite sequel other than 3. 3 is just a bad movie in general. Never enjoyed that one. Scream 3 also has the worst ghostface, easily.

I love 3 despite how bad it is just because this whole franchise means a lot to me. But it is for sure the worst one. I actually used to love 4 more than 2 for awhile but Emma Roberts’ acting has started bothering me more recently so it went down a peg. She deserves way more crap than Melissa ever got.

Anyway, I can’t resist doing this again… 1>5>6>2>4>3

 

Neither Melissa or Emma deserve hate. Both were great.

 

I think Melissa is great, but Emma comes across as kinda grating to me for some reason now. But you’re right, neither actually deserve hate. People treated Melissa like shit though which is just some pathetic loser shit

 

Also if Supermassive really is making a game then I’m already sold. Their gameplay style perfectly suits Scream

 

3 is easily the worst

 

The singing is fun, 2 is good

 

With time and recency bias removed, I think my ranking would be

Scream
Scream 2
Scream 5
Scream 3
Scream 6
Scream 4

3 is not as bad as people say it is. It has issues, but the Weinstein stuff is wild and it still has that OG charm to it where 6 feels somewhat cold and cynical to me. 4 is the one that feels most out of place to me in the series.

I've never really had a problem with that singing scene lol, it's fine? the amount of time the movie spends on the intricacies of sororities and throwing darts-at-headshots ass killer reveals are way more egregious

I think the brutality of the newer sequels makes them better than the older ones, tho I can see why some people wouldn't like 6. I don't mind a bit of silliness when it comes to killer reveals, it's kind of a staple of the series at this point. While I wish Radio Silence was doing a third film, I'm excited for Landon's take. Given how silly Ready or Not is, I don't think their styles are that far off from each other

 

Scream 1 takes place from September 25-28th 1996. So today is the perfect day to re-watch.

 

The Cotton Weary "Woah!" after Sydney and Gail shoot the revived Mickey is always a laugh moment for me.
