Can't wait for Scream 2036 where they forget all existing sequels and do a direct follow up to the original.
Don't they explain that away by saying she lost a bunch of weight and had plastic surgery or something though? It's been the longest time since I've seen 2 tho I might be wrong. Edit: Mrs. Loomis
5 and 6 are both hovering around the same rotten tomatoes score. I remain impressed at the quality control for this franchise. We can nitpick and find problems in all the movies, but none of them hit the low points of Halloween, F13, Nightmare, TCSM.
Did they ever say how long Sam and Ritchie were dating, either way unlikely he'd never mention having a cop dad
I'm pretty sure it was something like 3 months. And he knew what he was planning the whole time so it's a safe bet he would've kept his family away/lied about them. I guess it's a plot hole that his family never got interviewed or anything but I'm personally unbothered by that
When Dewey asked Sam how long they were together at his trailer, Sam answered 6 months. Quite plausible, especially if Richie’s dad at the very least didn’t live in CA seemingly, that Sam never met his family. And the family could’ve very well requested to stay out of the news as much as possible. But definitely think at the very least, Gale would’ve come across Richie’s family while writing the book. The two of them are present in the shrine together right?
Yeah, plot hole 100% lol. But as somebody else above said, I agree that the lows and nitpicks of Scream have never been as bad as its peers.
I mean, it’s only a plot hole if you think Gale researched his family. Which she clearly did not do with Billy’s family for her first book. So, it just seems consistent for her character.
If the guys at the beginning of the film were such mega fans of Stab, and seemingly knew the motive of Richie trying to make a new movie in 5...then you'd have to believe that information about Richie, including his family couldn't have been too hard to find. For being such a horror/crime junkie, how did Mindy not do any research into the person who tried to kill her? She should've been able to realize pretty quickly that her brother and best friend were living with Richie's siblings.
These are also satire and the movies are what they are, so the plot holes are whatever to me. I mean, Dermont hammed it the fuck up.
