I agree, the theatre set piece just fell flat for me. Using the explanation that cops sell evidence to collectors was so lazy. You’re telling me no one at Woodsboro PD noticed the entire evidence locker tied back to the nations largest serial killer story is missing? This is the first Scream that required a massive suspension of belief.
I agree. I guess I found her performance or line delivery kind of stilted. Like she brought so much energy to 4 that she didn’t do here.
I agree but I guess I’m also attributing it to not acting in quite a few years. Hope she comes back and can shine in 7
But it wasn’t just cops selling to a collector. Bailey was also a cop. A cop looking the other way for another cop is super believable.
I can buy cops being bad and shady as fuck, because..that’s life, but every single major piece of evidence tied to the ghostface killings (which in the scream universe is nationally known) going missing is some bullshit lol.
Also, yes, I know this is only a movie but it’s my favorite franchise and I’m a little salty about this one.
But, who would be looking for that stuff? Who would notice it missing? That shit was in boxes in a warehouse. Maybe the 22 stuff was not yet. But shit from a decade or more ago? Nobody would even know.
I think you have some valid points, but I still absolutely loved it. Perhaps I’m letting stuff slide because it’s also my favorite franchise. But I’m also a Scream 3 apologist haha. AND I loved the TV series…all 3 seasons. Insane, I’m insane.
I want to make this clear..I’m not trying to shit on it! Scream films are like kids.. just because this is my least favorite at the moment doesn’t mean I hate it. Ill get over it eventually.
All shitting on the museum aside, I know each and everyone of us would love to visit it if it existed. Like a pop up shop to promote the new movie. I wanted to look at every piece in it!
I think Hayden has also been thru a lot of personal things recently which would impact her performance. She's had a lot of public domestic violence and custody issues as well as addiction stuff. I did lol when they thought Kirby was Ghostface tho. Idk I feel like they never comment on it but like we can try to narrow down by approximate height, right? The good sis is like 5'0" tall which I think would stand out a bit but i guess whem youre running for your life u may not notice that
No way! That's so cool. Unfortunately I'm on the east coast and would have never made it there. Would have been smart of them to do it in NYC. If that were the case I would have totally took the 45 minute drive to experience it
Loved it. There was an amber alert in Los Angeles during the most intense part of the bodega scene and everyone’s phones went off. I think it scared everyone in the theatre
Possibly my second favorite scene of the movie. Something about Ghostface with a shotgun is just insane. Nothing Scream has ever seen and I like that
I keep thinking about more things I didn’t care for. The boyfriend across the way was stilted and wack ah as well.
