I’m pretty sure a couple dummies were talking about this in the parking lot. I heard something about a woman dying. Which isn’t really a spoiler since there are many options to who that could be, but they started to go on about it and I starting humming loudly to myself and increased my pace. Maybe, instead of talking about it in public at the theater, they could have fucked off in their car and talked on the way home. Fucking weirdos.
Someone just brought their 10 year old in here. I was immediately judging the mom but then I remembered I saw 2 & 3 with my mom when I was like 10 and 13..lol
I thought this was decent. Definitely a fun time for a March movie, but feels like a step down from 5. The final act is straight up “Scream 3” levels of goofy. And stay after the credits for a post-credits scene that will change the way you’ll feel about stingers.
Fuck no. Fair game is when you are not in an area people going in can hear you. It’s opening night. Use your head and think of anyone beyond yourself. It’s truly not difficult.
Really really liked this right up until the end. Still a great time and a worthy addition to the…franchise Loved the opening scene and the brutality throughout
Loved this tbh. Didn’t mind the end. They got me with the Quinn twist. Detective Bailey was so bad why didn’t they get a real actor
I absolutely loved this—ending and all. But had no idea there was a post credit scene until I got home and checked this thread. Anyone who saw it, please inbox me to clue me in.
I definitely dug this and it really feels like a love letter to the Scream legacy and franchise. I can see how the twist and third act doesn’t land for some people but as someone already said - it gets Scream 3 levels of goofy because it’s characters you’ve already seen suddenly get cartoonishly menacing and it’s almost laughable. In thinking about it, the twist is like Scream 2 on steroids: a family member avenging the death of the villain from the previous movie but in this case it’s 3 villains, playing up the whole “it’s a franchise so you need to double down on everything” trope that’s laid out in Mindy’s speech. Easily my least favorite commentary from any of the Scream films but still not terrible. I loved Mindy calling out how they were in the van and it reminded her of her uncle’s death. I had the same thought right before she said it. The brutality in this was great. Samara Weavings death and that open mouth tonsil stab and twist?? My god.
