Scream 2 was the first one i ever saw which is weird but those were the times

 

I remember watching Scream when I was in elementary school years after the film already came out

 

I've seen every scream opening night since the second one. I didn't see the original til it hit VHS. I feel like I'm aging myself here.

 

I mean that's the case for all of them. They all relate to the first one, and then each after has some sort of throwback.

Was not able to catch the first in theaters because I was too young, but I had a 6 years older sister who, along with her friends, loved the movie and didn’t stop talking about it for a long time. I remember it getting awards at the MTV movie awards and thinking that was a huge deal. So when she eventually watched it at home with her friends around 12/13, I was allowed to sit in with mom. When my mom realized that I liked the movie a lot and wasn’t scared, she was okay with letting me watch other ones with my sister. The next one my sister had me watch was Halloween and I was royally fucked up for years. I honestly think any time I hear a strange noise from another room or something in the same vein my brain still goes to Michael Myers.

Hope everyone who is seeing it tonight has a blast. I'm staying out of this thread now until I see it tomorrow night just incase I hover over a spoiler or see peoples reactions. I'm trying to go into this one completely blind. I've only watched the first trailer once when it was originally released and stayed away from any other trailer or tv spot.

Not seeing it until Sunday, but yes I've read that there is indeed a post-credits scene.
