'Scream 6': Jenna Ortega Talks Neve Campbell and Hayden Panettiere Not really anything new I don’t think and the Neve reference in the headline is a nothingburger
I’ve seen that thrown around on an unofficial basis for quite some time.. is there a credible source?
Finally watched this last night and I gotta say I enjoyed it a lot. Definitely takes the crown for the most brutal and gory of the series but also felt like it leaned the most into the camp/one-liner/comedic aspect as well, which makes for an interesting duality within the franchise's history. I thought that the one-liners were getting to be a little much in rapid succession at the end there but they straddled the line between suspense and slapstick pretty well. There's definitely a lot of suspension of disbelief required in some of the set pieces (the hospital plus the time between Judy's kill and Wes' kill when she had called the cops already on the way home) but in terms of the payoffs—major character death/tension-building fakeouts, respectively—there's at least a reward. I think I'd probably rank: Scream <small gap> Scream 5 Scream 4 = Scream 2 <large gap> Scream 3
Just rewatched Scream 3, and I really want to watch the film that Parker Posey thought she was in. Her character is truly a fucking delight.
I get that the entire franchise and horror in general requires letting dumb shit slide but the Scream 3 voice imitator is just a bridge way too far.
