Also, Sidney married a man named Mark, so we can probably go ahead and assume that’s Kincaid from 3 since this movie was heavy with the references.
So… Never saw any of these films until this week.. Watched all of them apart from the newest one (watching this Sunday). 1 and 2 were really great, 4 was a lot of fun! 3 was…. uhhhh not good at all lol I could not get into it at allll. Excited to see the new one though!
I’m very surprised 3 gets so much hate. Do I think it could use more Sidney? Yes. Should Courtney have spoken up about her haircut? Yes. But I think Dewey, Gale, and Jennifer (Parker Posey) are wonderful to watch in that film. I felt that Sidney living in fear and paranoia until she realizes she’s not safe there either worked so well too for the overall story.
Scream 3 is my least favorite because I felt like that’s the most Scream has ever leaned more into the comedy side of things and it just didn’t find a good balance. Roman is the worst ghostface and his motive is just so out of the blue that it makes it seem kind of dumb. The whole stab movie set and Hollywood in general was not a good set piece for the film and the deaths were mild.
Yeah, some of the humour was jarring, Roman was the worst Ghostface and I didn't care for the mystery with Sidney's mother at allllll. Just give me more Sidney instead!!
you know 3 is goofy when Jay and Silent Bob show up out of left field. I do love those two characters though lol
You mean Mark McDreamy-caid Also I haven't watched this movie yet so I really need to stay out of here lol
Also yeah I always thought of the Roman backstory as kind of a lame cop out, but also I forget this series did start off and is intended as kind of a send up of hte typical horror/slasher film, so having that weird ass connection come out of nowhere is true to that spirit lol. "oh BTW here is the brother/father/sister/son/daughter/etc. that we never told you about before/told you was dead before/etc"
Well, the new one was fucking awesome. Great casting, great music. Love old/new vibe this had throughout.
Some parts I enjoyed but man, a lot of rough writing at times too. Mikey Madison was great and has a lot of potential, though.
Went to a 10:35 am showing and two separate dads were there with toddlers, one of which cried through multiple scenes. Like what the fuck lol
You should be able to get a refund if someone brings a crying child to an R rated film. Shit is so obnoxious.
i thought this was thoroughly OK, the disappointing thing about it is that nothing about it really felt new
Although this was good I don’t know if I’ll rewatch it. Screw the big balls on the writers who decided to kill off Dewey. I get that some franchises have to take those leaps, but that one stings.
