This was so much fucking fun with an audience. Also maybe the most tense I’ve been during an opening since the original. He really drags on that conversation for a while, and I mean that in a positive way.

 

Also none of them are bad. 3 is the weakest but also very good.

So it looks like we all missed a pretty big Easter egg in the film that clarifies Kirby is not dead after all.

 

I didn’t see it but I’ve definitely heard about it since.

 

It’s been brought up already. I caught it myself during my second viewing.

 

Apparently in that same scene one of the other related videos is called “Is the Real Stu Macher Alive???” or something like that

 

That could also just poking fun at Matthew Lillard having a cameo in “Scream 2.”

 

Holy shit how did I not know that

 

Ok I rewatched everything in the last week:

1>5>4>2>3

but even 3 is a 7/10 for me.

 

I’d rank them the same.

1. Scream (8.5/10)
2. Scream ‘22 (8.3/10)
3. Scream 4 (7.5/10
4. Scream 2 (6/10)
5. Scream 3 (5/10)

Once I watch Scream ‘22 a couple more times when it’s on digital then the score may go up or down.

If homeboy is in Modesto then who tf held the camera and texted while talking to Tara outside of amber’s room? Lol also - who tf was responsible for Vince? One is at the hospital, the other with the friends? Just some thoughts…

 

Do we know how far Modesto is from Woodsboro? Could have been a quick trip. Plus it’s not a live video, it was an attachment so it could have been shot at any point. Or it could have been on a tripod? I can’t recall if the camera moves or not. If it does then it was Richie. I assume Amber did everything for the first attack alone. As for Vince, again I think it’s all Amber. They all get kicked out of the bar and we don’t know where they went right after. We do know at some point they go to the police station as Judy vouches for Amber for Sam’s first attack. We are not told about or shown the friends between the bar and the station. Amber kills Vince while Richie attacks Sam.

 

I assumed the video was just taken by Richie at an earlier date, and that Amber was doing all the texting/calling

As for Vince, idk that character didn’t really make a whole lot of sense to me in general haha. Felt like he was kinda just there to put suspicion on Chad and Liv. Thankfully he didn’t take up much screen time at all. But yeah I have no idea which one would’ve had the time to kill him

 

Had to be Amber. Richie was at the hospital with Sam and Tara.

 

Fair enough. Just some random thoughts.

 

Yeah the whole Vince thing was weird and wasted time - could have used the scenes to develop other parts of the story. Even though I adore the song lol

 

Ghost face in the hospital def taller than Ritchie and grunted like a dude lol

It’s also readily apparent what the deal is when homeboy doesn’t even try to help and we’ll…the slash on the arm giveaway

 

I like 3 a lot. 2 might be my least favorite of the sequels.

I def like the guy twin better in second view, but hate his gf more (such a waste). Barrera isn’t as bad as I initially thought but that first scene in the hospital between her and Ortega is big bad.

 

Yea Liv is a nothing character with no connection to anything. Was glad she died.

 

Liv was solely there to make the audience think she was the killer after Chad was attacked

 

1000% intentional. She even screamed the same.

 

Final act plays out better in second viewing but amber is a lot lol that final kill is so groovy though

def think the visions bothered me less this time
