    Die rad.

    Make Scream 8 as follows;
Team up Tara, Mindy, Chad, Gale, Sydney, Tatum. Dont bring back Melissa, but address her character as maybe she went off to join the service or moved out of country to feel safer, but Tara refused. Kill Tara in the opening act (this time she actually dies.) Core three of Chad, Mindy, Tatum. Side characters of Neve and Gale. Gale finally dies.
Reveal it to be Melissa and a not so dead Stu. No one would see it coming since both killers were not announced for the movie. Full circle of Melissa taking Billy's spot. You may say the motive wont work, but anything was better than the 7 reveal.

If you didn’t realize it was going to be Ethen Embry after his 45 second scene you’re bad at watching movies. This was poop from a butt. Bad and boring.

Scream 7 is more obsessed with itself as a franchise than the broader horror landscape which sucks. It now could be any old slasher franchise as it has literally nothing left to say. Neve Campbell was already back in 5 (which was only 4 years ago) so acting like this is some force awakens return to the franchise is insane. 6 wasn't great but this movie is very rude to that movie (they might as well have shat on the missing actors but they are even too cowardly to go that far when that's clearly how they really feel)

Haven't seen a franchise entry this spineless since Rise of Skywalker

The more I think about this, the worse it gets.

yeah even if you erased all knowledge of Spyglass from my mind with the Men in Black mindwipe this shit sucked man. maybe the only redeeming factor is Neve's performance still somehow works despite... everything. she aged insanely well too and looks about 3 years older than the actor playing her daughter which is slightly disconcerting

everything else just straight dogwater though, woof. the PS1 graphic house tour with the least interesting Ghostfaces had me choking on my drink. some truly bad performances here even from good actors, but dude playing Tatum's boyfriend is one of the worst actors I've ever seen. like Williamson told him to play an alien disguised as a human cosplaying a jock

Bring back radio silence after they do the new mummy. Apologize to Melissa. Bring back Jenna. Give us a proper ending to the core four trilogy. Let the franchise sail into the sunset.

edit: I liked Tatum, let her join the squad and make it the core five

I don’t see that happening with the Ellisons in charge.

It is funny to see the fallout of this. Anna Camp said the script gave her nothing. Williamson is basically Spock in “The Simpsons” saying his work is done here.

I wish I could say this is a gas leak of a movie, but that would imply it’s weirdly fun.

  13. Will be scrolling back to read other reactions - I was obviously skeptical for political/Hollywood bullshit reasons, had fun enough in the first hour or so, but holy hell what a dogshit killer reveal... truly cannot imagine seeing this as anything other than the low point in the franchise

  14. Reveal was literally so bad that I read spoilers two weeks ago and forgot who the killers were lmao. They had less than 15 minutes screentime combined

you could literally feel the collective "who the fuck is that guy" reaction in my theatre when the first reveal hit lmao

Music, Gaming, Movies and Guys = Life

This is the worst of the seven, and I wasn't even a massive fan of the third film, and that isn't even just down to who and what Paramount supports and the casting issues this film has had.

The reveal of the killers is comfortably the worst in the series, there are numerous dumb moments (who installs a safe room without telling the daughter they want to protect and has a fatal flaw in that you can get in via a crawlspace?) and Kevin Williamson couldn't direct his way out of a wet paper bag.

Sidney just standing in the road for 20 minutes slowly talking her daughter to the gun is the most excruciating shit I've seen in years. lucky nobody else lived in that entire town

I knew it. But clearly a lot of young kids in my theater did not know who Ethan Embry is. At the end, I heard a lot of "Who is that" behind me. Gen Z has never watched Can't Hardly Wait!
