I personally don’t go into threads of things that are already out if I super care about getting spoiled

I understand. I just disagree that a website should cater to your personal viewing habits. People can have legit reasons to have not seen the movie yet. Work, family, various obligations, money… life, man. But people can control whether they go into a discussion thread for the movie after it’s released. Especially if they don’t want spoilers. And I think it’s understanding to say people can use tags if they want to. Nothing wrong with people using them. But to enforce them? I would urge you to rethink what your expectations are. I watched this in an unconventional way let’s just say and yeah it wasn’t great. Some cool kills but that climax just felt lazy as fuck. Easily the worst in the franchise

Unfortunately, this made a ton of money, making it a great weekend for the Ellisons. They’re supposedly fast tracking a sequel with Williamson and Campbell. So it goes.

 

Yeah $64 million opening domestically and almost $100 million worldwide is pretty big and the most for any scream film. Wouldn’t be shocked if Scream 8 is announced before the summer

 

Yea it was pretty likely to do well based on the return of Neve + Williamson. And getting the "haha yea let's stick it to the WOKIES" crowd in whatever amount was always gonna be a bit of a boost as well

 

Most ppl probs don't even know about the drama behind the scenes, nor would they care if they did. A Scream movie with a low RT score is still a Scream movie

 

Hopefully with scream 8 they try to at least have a somewhat logical ghostface motivation. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the paperboy teamed up with the local lifeguard after scream 7’s reveal.

 

I just don’t know where you go with the next one when you’ve already shown that you’re creatively bankrupt and the one card you had left to play (bring back everyone) is now dealt.

I guess it’ll just be bringing more younger Paramount+ actors to go through the grinder and have Sidney be about as upset about their deaths as she is when a mug breaks at her coffee shop?

 

Make Sidney and her daughter the new killers as they prevent other people from following in their footsteps and "destroy the franchise forever".
