This sounds god awful :( i hope it’s at least entertaining but honestly spyglass deserves the worst for what they did
Slashers you could stay home and watch instead of this: - Tourist Trap - Intruder - Pieces - Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker - Sleepaway Camp (obviously)
Just got out of this and eh It was nice to see Sidney as a mom with a teenage daughter. It’s what the character deserves, and it’s the only good part of this movie. Oh wait, there’s a Beabadoobee song. Make that two good things. As a whole, this movie is not what the franchise deserves and should be omitted from any future boxset. It has some of the lamest, most boring kills in the series. I started asking myself, “what is the point of this” a little more than half way through. It’s a shame that a movie that clearly admires Sidney doesn’t admire anything else and, in doing so, ends up being a forgettable story. If Melissa and Jenna were still here, and the Sidney material had been wrapped around a solid conclusion of the new “trilogy,” we could’ve had something good. Oh well. Thanks, Spyglass. Thanks, Kevin.
You mean pretending the 2 main characters died on the way to their home planet makes a bad movie, who could have possibly predicted it
incredible run actually, the most consistent horror franchise. they were always playing with fire continuing the sequels. Even if they make 2 more bad ones, the franchise is still in good shape.
Tat knows ball. I bought a ticket to the new Jessica Chastain indie erotic drama that’s playing at the same time. It’s probably the better movie, but I’m gonna see this out without supporting it. And probably will see the Chastain movie too.
I feel like the "highest opening weekend in the franchise history" is kind of trying to make me people feel like the boycott doesn't matter. I know it's based on high presale tickets, but also they extrapolate total sales off that number with a formula that definitely doesn't take a boycott into account. Maybe it's just cope, but I don't feel like the numbers for this are going to be good as they're trying to make it seem right now. Mixed with bad reviews, I'm hoping it bombs and Spyglass sells the rights, and I can see a new Melissa Barrera film in theatres very soon. And I didn't even like the last one much, it was so stupid those murdered kids got to miraculously live in their little ambulance beds. Series has been dead for a while, they just tossed aside all the good will and the only redeeming performances they had left.
Scream 5 had the juice. Jack Quaid and Mikey Madison were great villains, they had a meaningful and effective kill and reason for existing (to kind of dismantle the trend of the requel.) Scream 6 felt like there was some definite studio tinkering going on and for being an NYC movie, didn’t feel like NYC. This - I don’t know, man. I’ll always wonder what Landon could have done with it with the Core Four.
very fitting movie to be on the verge of watching to learn that netflix isn’t making a higher bid, thereby more or less confirming paramount purchasing WB
I’m not going to see this in theaters. But man the internal conflict is rough. Spyglass pulled a shit move and can get fucked, but I’m not going to sit here and wish for the failure of actors and crew members who’ve had great, clean, careers over 30 years for appearing in this film. (I’m not saying anyone here is doing this.) Everyone’s got a line.. I’m good with any heat I get from this post, but it’s a thought I found worth dumping.
I snuck into a 4DX screening of this because they had a city press conference at one of our local theaters. Why in the world is “The Bride!” trailer attached to every movie known to man? also, the nose prosthetics in the Michael Jackson biopic are ridiculous.
