It will do well, unfortunately, but I am still proud of how many longterm fans I'm seeing calling out the bullshit and waiting for it to hit streaming or watch via ~other methods~. Part of why horror fans are some of my favorite people

 

I'm more interested in seeing critical and fan reception, tbh.

The trailer for the newest Scream may be one of the worst trailers I've seen in a long time

 

It waffles between that and that Colleen Hoover trailer that has that awful “ORDINARY! IMINTHETHICKOFINOW” song, both of which I’ve seen a million times.

Scream is undoubtedly my favorite horror franchise and even a subpar Scream movie is super exciting to me, but in no way am I seeing any Spyglass movie in theaters. I’ll definitely stream that shit. I can be patient while also not supporting that crooked ass company.

 

The meta thing is shit but way less surprising to me than the rest of the saga of this cursed film of my favorite franchise lol.

 

I mean, Scream really was the first huge meta horror film..
