Roman was a director so maybe he made a bunches of tapes, like Randy did for Sydney in Scream 3. The tapes get sent to Sydney by Ghostface where Roman talks about how he won’t rest until he gets his revenge (Sydney dead). One of the tapes could have Stu in it de-aged where Roman recruits him and Billy, maybe they tape Maureen’s death.

The opening kills are just all the characters we already know. Even Roman and Stu somehow. Then the movie just puts text in black background: “we are starting over with all new characters but we knew we needed some people you know to come out to this. The new chapter begins… NOW!”

Dude was stabbed like 37 times in one scene. And we had shotgun Ghostface in this last one. How much more brutal can you get? Flamethrower Ghostface from Stab 8?

 

Wes getting stabbed in the neck so slowly was brutal as hell.

 

For my money, that’s the most viscerally brutal death in the series.
