Nvm, after finishing this recent rewatch and ranking the killer reveals/motives before re-ranking the movies, even I am shocked on where I've landed:

I was just curious so I checked the comments on his most recent ig post and he already had a couple of hate comments within a couple of minutes about him betraying Melissa. So that’s probably not going to go over too smooth for him in today’s world.

 

This is probably an attempt to keep the continuity of the 5th and 6th films.

I wouldn’t hate it IF this was natural story telling and not the result of the studio firing Melissa.

 

Everyone should watch Your Monster, powerhouse Melissa Barrera performance.

I’ll stick around to watch the train wreck but this new one looks like such a mess.

Ironic that Chad is returning. The guy should’ve died twice and somehow he’s the only character surviving the studio interference.

 

Someone posted on reddit last week that she said she wasn’t returning somewhere, but they provided no actual source.

Do we know if there was ever any truth to the whole ghostface in winter thing? I’m 100% sure the 7th installment will be the first true bad film in the franchise, but damn I’d love to see Ghostface frolic in the snow.

 

That was before the Melissa firing. So we have no idea now.
