She's great but it's also annoying to get Sidney back just to hand it over to a new protagonist when we literally just had that and the studio threw it away
Nothing would be piss me off even more about this movie than if Sid is being set up to be replaced by her daughter. DanielRPK is also a fucking idiot though, but so is Soyglass, so idk. This is all just so dumb. Maybe Sid’s daughter can face off against Billy’s daughter in Scream 10
Big shrug. Anyways, I'm in the middle of rewatching these for our podcast and I really, really appreciated 3 (and to some extent, 4) more this time around. Watching 5 and 6 next Tuesday with my co-host who has never seen them and has no idea Kirby is still alive. Really excited.
I’m also rewatching these for my podcast, which might only exist in my head and it’s really just a comfort marathon. I’m in the middle of 3 right now actually.
The Vaseline filter. I still hope the rumor about the 4K release having the filter-less version is true.
Hate for the filter in 4 has always felt overblown to me, those cooler tones had been trendy for a while by the time it came out and honestly these days it even gives me some nostalgia to see
The hospital sequence definitely makes it stand out, but I think it's when the motivations really start to make me roll my eyes a bit. It just loses a lot of the levity 2 and 3 had, so between that and how it looks visually, it feels a lot less cozy to me. A weird transitional piece separated by 10 years on both sides of what came before and what would come after. But it's solid
Hard disagree, seeing the way my co-host reacted to Kirby being "dead" vs hired she's gonna text when everyone miraculously survives the end of six... they made the right choice with 4 imo
