If they are indeed rebooting it then I wouldn’t be surprised if the other core 4 also weren’t going to return after Melissa’s firing.

Also no one wants a reboot. That article mentioned the franchise always had an ensemble cast, but the story always focused on Sidney or a story that branched from it that then focused on the sisters. A rebooted story is dumb and it’s only going to happen because the people at spyglass have too big of egos to make things right with Melissa and Jenna.

 

They got incredibly lucky to have Ortega as their star at the exact right time and have an ensemble with such good chemistry twice. No reason to continue now. Just shut this shit down.

A reboot sounds so dumb this far into the game. I love Scream but I feel like they're out of non-meta tropes to lampoon. Give it a rest and come back in 2030

And to the think spyglass had a guaranteed $100 million box office movie if they would have just not been idiots

 

Watching this franchise implode has been devastating but also hilarious at the expense of Spyglass

 

Good for Landon. Honestly this is the exact kind of fodder that could find its way into the plot of a rewritten 7th movie at some point down the road

 

This could be an incredibly naive (and selfish) question, but like, what is the purpose for Spyglass to hold onto this now? It’s an absolute disaster for them, rightfully so, so wouldn’t it behoove them to rid themselves of the franchise?
