Yeah, I’m fine with product placement in something like this because it fits dystopia and this movie was not cheap to make.
I really like the idea of the proto-YouTube-type anarchist, but feel like he shohld have been better deployed throughout the movie. The ending where he breaks everything down just kind of deflates the movie and it feels like that grand finale is kind of a stupid-noted whimper after that.
I do agree with this. And I like Glen and think he’s good in this, but it could have used a star with a bit more grit to them. Glen’s just too pretty.
I grew up loving 80/90s dumb/fun action movies and this felt like that in a complimentary way, flaws and all. while you’re not wrong this is such a little nitpick, are they gonna cast a bunch of hill people?
We get it you live in New York Anyway I appreciated that they were like this is your dystopia only better because Colman Domingo Besides all the sex work stuff we're gonna shoot this baby stuff i enjoyed it but you can tell the story wasn't new
Haven't seen this yet, but reminds me of Demolition Man where they turned a product placement for Taco Bell into a running joke about them monopolizing the restaurant industry in the future.
The ending felt very abrupt and unfinished but other than that I had a pretty good time with this. The motel and Cera scenes were easily the highlights for me.
This was fine. A bit disappointing when you know what Edgar Wright is capable of, but you could do worse for mindless entertainment.
