I think Gemstones is probably my favorite, maybe due to recency bias but also because I think Baby Billy is one of the funniest characters I've ever seen in a TV show.
still need to see eastbound I liked Gemstones more than Vice Principals because it was less cynical, like those weirdos truly loved each other
What a great finale. I stand by my “weakest narrative, funniest season” take earlier in the thread. I definitely liked it way more than season two.
eastbound and down season 1 is one of the greatest seasons of any show ever IMO i'd go eastbound and down s1/s2 > VP > RG > the rest of EB&D its all shades of great though
will ferrell as an occasional guest in eastbound has the funniest lines of any of the characters in the three shows
"Look at me Dustin, I'm a fucking icon." That scene in EB S1 EP1 where he is throwing the ball at the garage is amazing. "Gunna wake the neighbors tonight."
Tbh, as much as I loved these characters, I feel like a better ending would have been them all losing everything considering they're rich bastards who exploit dumb Christians haha. Mega churches are the worst
