    I think Gemstones is probably my favorite, maybe due to recency bias but also because I think Baby Billy is one of the funniest characters I've ever seen in a TV show.

    I liked Gemstones more than Vice Principals because it was less cynical, like those weirdos truly loved each other

    What a great finale. I stand by my “weakest narrative, funniest season” take earlier in the thread. I definitely liked it way more than season two.

    eastbound and down season 1 is one of the greatest seasons of any show ever IMO

    i'd go

    eastbound and down s1/s2 > VP > RG > the rest of EB&D

    its all shades of great though

    "Look at me Dustin, I'm a fucking icon." That scene in EB S1 EP1 where he is throwing the ball at the garage is amazing. "Gunna wake the neighbors tonight."
