If they didn’t have him come out after last season then I don’t see it ever happening, he’s way too repressed. He mentions in s1 how he was never that interested in dating and he thinks it’s because he’s Christ incarnate, so that’s probably going to be his out for the whole series
Flashbacks sometimes come off crappy. This show nails it. Also filled in some plot holes in a creative way.
Surprised the flashback ep didn’t at all address the supposed dirt that the journalist was looking into re: Aimee Leigh
Yeah usually a flashback episode in the middle of a season is a drag for me but both "Interlude" episodes now are some of the best of the entire series
Just came in to say I love this show. Danny McBride and Walton Goggins never cease to amaze me. I'm sure it's been said, but Baby Billy is basically an extension of Boyd Crowder which I love.
I started out being annoyed it was a flashback ep, but I ended up liking it by the end. Definitely prefer the kids in the present day but the kid that plays Jesse is fucking spot on McBride lol
the episode was worth it for “break his back daddy!” and the baby billy reaction to not getting a gift alone
I liked the episode a lot, but it has been interesting just how dramatic they’ve gone this season. There were intense moments and subplots in S1, but a few of these have been almost nonstop action/plot/serious moments. The reveal of why Eli rides that coaster and everything in the last few minutes would be at home in any prestige drama.
Eli's dad telling him how proud he is of him and then having an outburst after Eli hugged him was really sad to see. Eli is a piece of shit but I felt bad for him in that moment.
At what episode would people say got them fully invested into this show? The pilot was fine… can’t say I’m hooked yet.
