This is excellent, definitely a level up for the band. I'm hearing a heavy Thrice influence, which is great, but also hoping this is the tone Thrice goes back to on their upcoming record.

I like the song. I don’t think it’s quite that unusual for them

 

Neither do I, it sounds like a natural evolution of their sound. It's miles ahead of Varuna, and more layered than the tracks on Shrine. Perfect length too; not overdone, but doesn't leave you wanting more either.

 

Like this more than their entire last album! Back to the hard stuff, love it.
