The opening track always scares me in a good way lol. Loving the sonic range across the entire album though
Had absolutely no idea this was coming out until just moments ago when I saw it on the release list for Friday. So excited, love this band.
The part in Veer where they sing “It can’t be real, it can’t be real…” sounds like mewithoutYou, both in lyric and melody
Glad they added the lyrics to bandcamp, Reedcutter hits so hard knowing the lyrics and it’s just a beautiful track in its own right musically.
I listened to TROW the whole flight yesterday. Forgot how much I like all the albums. All so different. The his old branches redux is very awesome
almost 2 weeks and it still hasnt clicked with me. I dont know, it never took any of their releases this long to really click. Nothing is really bringing me back to this album.
I can hear bits and pieces of all their previous work in this but it still feels like a fresh take, but to each their own I guess.
Have they posted any kind of behind the scenes stuff anywhere? I saw them mention they basically wrote and recorded all of this remotely in different parts of the country and I'd be really interested in hearing them talk more about that process
I found it look a long time for the melodies to imprint on my brain, it wasn’t as immediately catchy to me as most of their other stuff, particularly the vocals. TBH if it wasn’t December and a quiet time in the release calendar and life in general I might not ever have given it the time it needed to hit me, but I’m glad I did
I don't see the point of covers that tread very, very close to the original in style and melody. It sounds good, but if I want to listen to this song I'll just kick on the OG.
listened to this EP again in headphones on a bike ride yesterday and damn, the production is so good. Really sounds like a band just having fun and finding incredibly cool sounds to play with.
They are teasing something on their instagram for the 22nd, going by the little video looks like a vinyl maybe, but it says NTKDR, which doesn’t fit the title of this release.
