Oh wow these are awesome - nice!

Shrine is their best record and if they’re done for - at least they’re going out with a bang!

I wish this band was still making new records. I don’t get how they didn’t the attention on this site like some of the other bands that do.

Love these new tracks and the acoustic renditions are just gorgeous. Acoustic TROW is my favorite. Those acoustic cover albums I still listen to quite a bit.

I thought Mason and Christian had another Tigers on Trains release in the works a while ago.

So, whenever this band's first album came out I listened to it a few time and it never really stuck, kinda just fell into this void for me that felt like "Brand New-lite" along with the first O'Brother album. Recently I felt like revisiting both those band's first albums and still felt the same way about both, fine-ish overall but just not.... GREAT, or something I need to revisit again.

for some reason though, I felt compelled to at least check out the next albums from them, and I have to say.... I'm really plesantly surprised by No Matter How Narrow. I'm halfway into it right now and I really like the feel of it. Really relaxed, but still interesting, and vocally I honestly am hearing some Kenny from The Starting Line at times and like, John Nolan.

Anyway, I know nothing about how this band's fans see their work, but I'm here to say that I am enjoying the second album way more than the first, and I certainly will check out shrine now, due to it

EDIT: The more I listen, the more I feel like this is VERY Person L in style

shrine is nothing like No Matter How Narrow. None of their work is like NMHN, it really stands out on its own as it’s totally different from all their other work. I love everything they’ve done and am happy they have an album like NMHN for when I want to listen to them but not have something so serious/heavy content wise

I never got that into NMHN but I can appreciate it being an outlier in their discography. I'll give it a spin right now and see if my mind changes on it.

I love all 3 records, and their differences. Band amassed a solid discography in a very short time. Yeah, Mason and TROW have moments of BN, but wow did they show up with so much more when they released their debut.

Honeslty, Varuna is my favourite of the 3 albums, but NMHN and Shrine are all right there too. Blues some of the bsides, Ep’s l, alt versions and so on are just so good.

Yeah, those original demos had BN flares, but this band carved out their place in listening world and quickly. I want another TROW album!!!

I will be okay. everything Supporter

All the albums rock and the eps are good too. Nmhn is probably my favorite though at this point

NMHN is probably my least favourite. But the closer on that album Through Empty Vessels might be one of my favourite TROW songs.

Mirage is another favourite song. Too bad Greg left. Always thought his voice is incredible.

Shrine probably my favourite album of theirs (my name is in the insert so it has to be ;)).

Had to edit this post to mention His Old Branches/His Black Teeth. That EP and the reimaged EP are truly phenomenal song writing. The imagery they convey is something else.

It is too bad Gregg left because the compliment of voices was cool, but it sound like his art/design thing is busy.

they really did so much great stuff in a short period. His black teeth ep is such a nice touch. Mirage is one of my favourites too.

I wish he had a prominent guest vocal appearance on Shrine, but oh well. Some
Of his American Gospel songs were good too.

The sidewalks are watching me think about you.

Loved everything these guys released. There were rumblings about a new Tigers on Trains album some time ago but nothing ever came out of it. That's a shame. Billy used to frequent the AP.net forums and answer questions, sure would be nice if TROW or ToT released new music in the future.

I imagine one day they will put out new music. Mason has been too busy with Jeopardy and he put out a full Vampire Weekend cover album. ;-p

I'll try asking him and will report back.

Check Mason’s Instagram. New songs on the way. Probably Souveneer if I had to guess.

I’ve liked the Souveneer releases too.

The TRoW stuff is my favourite, but there are lots of really enjoyable Tigers on Trains, Souveneer, Year Fifteen and American Gospel songs.

Listening to Shrine right now and unfortunately not having the same experience as with No Matter How Narrow, you all weren't kidding when you said that album was like a different band, shrine sounds like a direct follow up to Varuna. I'm finding it to be fine enough but not really finding myself too impressed.

The extended version is of Shrine is better. Agreed, Varuna and Shrine are link closer the Narrow, just based on tone positive vibe verse darker ominous vibe.
