Anybody had luck contacting SimpleStereo for a lossless copy of the extended edition like @Carrow mentioned? The tags and track times are completely wonked on the MP3 version they sent me so I asked and haven't heard back yet. Track tags aside, this album is incredible and has been on repeat all day. Hard to believe I've been following these guys since the infamous demo leak, and so exciting to see an active discussion about this band.
I never thought an album release for them would be at 51 pages, but here we are. I felt like I used to talk about this band by myself almost lol. Most of the people I know don't share my tastes in music, so it's hard to discuss anything like this without it being on a message board.
Haha yeah I feel like it used to be just me you and AngryMan. So happy they are getting some traction :)
@Transient_Hymn I had to go like your comment for showing some strong solidarity. @teebs41 did as well. All of you should go like it lol.
It still makes me laugh that our non coordinated effort seems to have been perceived as spam/paid bots hired by the band.
After spending a few days exclusively listening to the extended version, the album just wasn't grabbing me like I hoped it would. Decided to give the standard version a chance and after one listen it clicked straight away. The pace is far more digestible and streamlined. That said Amaterasu is flawless!
yea I prefer to listen to the standard album as well. I like the bonus tracks and play them occasionally outside the album.
I’ve fallen head over heels in love with this album. I love how it’s a companion piece, or almost a sequel to Varuna. Each time I listen I find another little callback to that record.
I guess you could purchase one one on bandcamp. My luck is you would have more luck contacting the band directly
Also, how do y'all feel about the mix on this record? There's one or two things about it that stand out to me and I wanted to know what people thought
lots of high end/mids.. the drums sound great. The guitars cut through really nicely, love the guitar tones even if they have a ton of high end. Vocals are up front enough... wish the harmonies cut through a bit more at times.
