Also, in Zac's interview from last month, they talk about "looking for financial backing from a few different sources and coming up empty," which I assumed, maybe incorrectly, was about record labels. Mason Maggio of The Republic of Wolves • chorus.fm
I'm not sure how I got into TROW, whether it be someone mentioning them on the forums here or stumbling on them through Similar Artists on Last.fm. But it wasn't until the video for Mitama was released that I started to anticipate this album (and band), following this thread in the lead up to release has elevated that significantly. So thanks everyone!
Oh fuck thanks for linking this interview I remember bookmarking it but because it's a bit long I never went back to it. Def gonna read it all now. On Northern Orthodox now actually which is when this interview was released and the bridge on that song is really something else. It's crazy because I bought this song is 2016 when it first came out since I loved it so much and been playing ever since some might say overplayed but I still don't mind it one bit. It's a fucking awesome song glad I didn't ruin it by overplaying it. Very close call tho lol
I feel like I hear Billy's voice a few times on the album but it's so similar to Mason's that I can't really tell. Edit: besides all the screaming, of course
My "Billy sounds like Mason" comment was mostly based off Greenville, MO, where Billy sings the first half of the chorus but sounds almost indistinguishable from Mason. Pretty sure he sings on Already Spent by ToT too, and again, almost indistinguishable.
That's Mason on "Already Spent", I really want Christian to sing more, but man Mason sounds great on here.
shrine is a very good record and so is this album by Out of Service by our very own @teebs41 (man can shred on the old guitar) playing it now and still enjoying it tremendously. Came out last week.
Maybe you’re talking about a different part of the song, but that’s Gregg singing on Greensville too.
Yea, @Colin Your Enthusiasm i appreciate it so much, it’s awesome you like it that much. But we should focus on this record here!
Billy's parts are "if there's a cause for every window that I jump through," and "if there's an auction for your insights, then count me in" and some others too. He basically trades off every other line of the chorus with Mason.
