LMAO I need to finish the last three tracks, my wife started fighting the final boss in Zelda and made me watch
guess I’m giving this a shot now that it’s on streaming, band has always had some good songs but never really put it together entirely, the reactions here are interesting because it almost sounds like the band is being pulled in a bunch of different directions, curious to hear if it at least sounds cohesive
see, I see posts about the unclean vocals but also see people say some of their poppies stuff yet is here? Last record was much brighter sounding than Varuna, so it’s interesting to hear them sort of take a mid section between the two. I’m intrigued at least
I’ve seen some comments about a specific song saying that song was maybe their poppiest yet. Don’t know which, it was offhand, and I haven’t paid attention to this release at all
Fuck the bonus tracks are so good but at the same time i can see why they were left off the standard version well Born Blind is harder to understand tbh
Hmm probably Colored Out if i had to guess. Yeah it’s poppier... but the album as a whole is darker and heavier. More like a progression from Varuna. Even that poppier song fits though. Definitely a very cohesive album. I think you’ll dig it
Yea colored out has a great hook and drives hard.. but it’s not really poppy.. maybe like Manchester orchestra poppy lol
Don’t @ me but some this reminds of the darker dear hunter stuff too, almost a brand new dear hunter hybrid. I know no one else will hear it but with he jams I def hear it in the guitar solos
The extended version flows so damn well its like because of the bonus tracks it gives the album even more variety yet at the same time it still feels so damn cohesive as a whole.
My dream is for them to work with Mike Sapone. This comes close to that dream. Production on here is def top notch.
Yea honestly the production here may actually work better than a sapone record Dialogues Northern orthodox Colored out What a 3 song run
Can’t believe no one mentioned TREOS. That little electronic segue at 3 minutes is straight mi fa mi magic
Or i wonder what a Will Yip produced TROW record would sound like. Fun to think what if scenarios like that.
So glad I only listened to northern orthodox like 3 times before the album dropped that song bangs hard
Northern orthodox was the first trow song I heard and then I was like wow I need to listen to this band and dove into the old stuff
