I'm a fan of both their sounds so I'm ready for this. Were you also able to hear the b-sides and can you say how you feel about the album overall?

 

Fuck this and the new Animal Flag what a great time right now!!!! I'm soooo stoked for both of them! Both have been pre ordered of course. Wish i could hear them now!

 

Haven’t heard the b sides unfortunately. I’ll say that this is probably their best produced album. Everything sounds huge. Some great guitar work. I like the back half more. More screaming than I expected. Some cool post rock influence here. I’m only one listen in tho so I don’t have super detailed thoughts yet, but I’m happy with it

Yeah gonna throw this out there: if any of you are looking forward to this album but you aren’t anticipating animal flag, get on that

I played LP by Animal Flag today still so damn good!

 

Void ripper truly is a ripper. I think that album can take them places

So I've never listened to Animal Flag, but I just heard the single from their new album coming out and it was awesome. Also heard "Sensation" from LP and liked it even more. Any of the older releases worth listening to or is LP and the new one the best way to listen to these guys?

 

LP all the way and their Audiotree session is also incredible so make sure you check that out too!

You're in for a real treat trust me! But like I said don't sleep on the Audiotree live better yet I'd recommend watching the entire session instead of just listening to the songs from it but yeah LP is so so good. You'll understand why i'm so stoked for Void Ripper after hearing it!

I honestly think Animal Flag is most definitely RIYL TROW so couldnt be a better band to bring up in this thread than them tbh

 

Cathedrals on audiotree is one of my favorite recordings ever

 

Yeah over time I've grown to love all the Audiotree versions slightly more. They just all have a little extra bite to them but don't get me wrong the LP versions are just as good. Just a personal preference. I love a little raspiness. How would you say the new album is on that front?
